Pixel Planet Today
The project that kicked off my drive to combine environmentalism, design, and technology. Pixel Planet Today, initially a 'Design 365' project, combines pixel art designs with facts about the planet. The project core is found in its social media posts, but it has since expanded to include eco-merch, blog posts, and other content.
Wasted Space
Wasted Space is a classic arcade game that drives home the idea of reusing and recycling. In the game, players fly a spaceship through endless enemies and collect materials from destroyed ships in order to upgrade their own. In pixel art fashion, environmental education in game isn't as in your face as other projects, making it a lot more approachable to casual players.
byteOS: Notes
A simple note-taking app inspired by, you guessed it, pixel art. byteOS: Notes is designed to be as lightweight as possible, making it eco-friendly while also helping you break-free from AI and the cloud. The basic version of the app is published on the Google Play Store, but plenty of updates are in the works to add more features and functionality.
NE Sheds
Company Website Redesign & Build
NE Sheds is a shed and outbuilding retailer based in Nebraska. In redesigning and rebuilding their website, I worked closely with the owners to create a site that fit both their vision, improve SEO/GEO, and enhance user experience.
Nebraska Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired
Logo & Brand Redesign
The Nebraska Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired initially reached out to me about redesigning their logo for their 20th anniversary, but has since led to additional design projects like business cards and social media images. I am incredibly fortunate to continue working with an agency that provides necessary services to those that need it.
Eva Therapeutic Wellbeing
Company Website Redesign & Build
While I was working as a Multimedia Work Study Student in the Center for Entrepreneurship and Rural Development office at UNK, I was approached to build a website for a new small business, Eva Therapeutic Wellbeing. The owner, Eva, and I clicked very early on in the process, and she has been a joy of a client ever since. Since the initial build in 2017, I have rebuilt her website and worked with her on adding more content to the site.
Eva Therapeutic Wellbeing
Logo & Brand Redesign
In rebuilding Eva's website, I also worked with her to redesign her logo and brand identity. The new logo encompasses more of her personality and mission than the initial logo, and the new brand identity is cohesive online as well as in her office.
Beavercreek Marketing - Online Education Center
Product Redesign & Build
One of Beavercreek Marketing's cornerstone products is the Online Education Center (OEC) that clients use to promote their products and learn their capabilities. But with an 1990s aesthetic, and features left to be desired, they asked me to redesign and build the components needed to rebrand the OEC.
Beavercreek Marketing - Design Previewer
Product Design & Build
In order to display what a custom branded product would look like for a client, Beavercreek Marketing needed a way to preview the design, showcase the color palette, and see embedded images. I designed (and developed basic functionality for) a custom web wrapper that acted as a bridge between clients and branding specialists.
